Tips for Choosing the Best Pool Fencing for You

18/11/2014

Choosing the Best Pool Fencing

Pool fencing in Perth is a terrific safeguard for your new or existing swimming pool, as well as providing decorative value. With many types of fencing available, here are useful tips to help you choose the best type for your unique location.

Consider the ‘Why’ Factor

Why you want to install pool fencing in Perth plays a big role in the most suitable kind for your home or business. A common reason to want the enclosure is to protect kids and pets from getting into the pool. While you could go with aluminium or wood fencing, glass panels offer you distinct advantages that the other materials simply do not.

The strong glass panels, available at All Things Glass, keep children and pets out of the water to help prevent dangerous situations such as falling into the water without being able to swim. Unlike wood fences, the glass lets you see fully through to the pool area, from a distance. That provides you an easy way to ensure at all times that no one is the pool that you don’t want to be there without having to actually run up inside the enclosure. Protecting the safety of those who you care about is well worth getting the glass fence!

Style Preferences

As well, Perth pool fencing provides a great way to enhance your home’s exterior. The glass provides a modern appeal, whether you use semi frameless or fully frameless varieties. Unlike aluminium and steel fences that obstruct the view of your backyard, balcony or another area, glass provides an openness that enhances, rather than detracts, from the pool area.

When you go to sell your home, you will get back a lot of your investment into the glass pool fencing as it adds value to your home, increasing the sale price. Meanwhile, aluminium fencing cheapens the look of the pool. We are happy to provide you with a free estimate when you call us, giving you a clear idea of price and value for the glass product. We have a range of products to fit different budgets so that you get a high-value item every time.

Pricing Details

The size of your budget is a major consideration in what type of pool fencing in Perth you will get. Rather than going into debt over the enclosure, decide how much you can realistically plan to spend on the item. When you phone the fencing provider, ask for details about cost of the materials and installation fees. At All Things Glass, we are always upfront in our costs, and there are no hidden fees. That keeps you from feeling any financial stress.

Getting pool fencing in Perth that meets your budget does not need to be a difficult task when you choose to go with us. A backyard pool offers an easy way to relax and stay cool on a hot summer's day. But I think it is known to every one that a pool can pose a safety hazard especially for the children. Thus, too keep the children safe, one has to invest in a pool fence, because according to the report a compete isolated fence can reduce the chance of drowning by 83%. So, for me, the benefits of a pool safety fence are priceless. Hence, one should install it by hiring a professional fencing contractor , as a professional can deliver the best with the least.

Thanks for going over some tips for choosing a good pool fencing. I didn't know about there could be glass fencing, and that it could be semi or fully frameless. I wouldn't mind seeing what these look like, or learning how to prepare to have them installed.

I like that you mention how the style is important. My sister is looking to get some pool fencing to protect her kids. I'll be sure to talk to her about how the style is an important factor to consider.

Having beautiful plants around my pool is a must have! Thank you for sharing tips on how to have the perfect poolside! I wouldn't have thought to get fencing, but that does make sense that I wouldn't want the dirt to mix in with the pool chlorine. And I never thought of installing a glass pool fence! But that will still leave the beautiful view. I will need to look more into glass pool fencing.

Informative piece! I agree, my personal preference of material for a pool fence is glass as well. Glass gives you a full view. If you have toddlers that you have yet to enroll in swimming lessons, it is just imperative to get a pool fence.

Good article on the benefits of glass pool fencing. Perhaps you can mention in a future article that there are now regulations in place relating to the need to have a registered building practitioner install your pool fence. Keep up the good work!
