Mirrors In Perth

12/7/2016

We know that a mirror can be one of the least costly ways to accessorise and add style to any room. At All Things Glass, we design and manufacture beautiful handcrafted mirrors in lots of different sizes, shapes and styles, so you will always have a mirror that perfectly suits your needs.

Most of our Perth mirrors are frameless, because this is what customers want at the moment, but we can also create framed, as well as mirrors for wardrobe doors. In fact, we can easily match the style and size of the mirrors to your home’s decor.

So Why Are Mirrors So Useful In Our Homes?

  1. Statement pieces: How often have you wanted that one statement piece for your room that ties your design together and completes your room? Our beautiful mirrors can add the final touches to your rooms, drawing the eye and acting as a piece of art themselves.
  2. Enlarge the space: We all know that adding a mirror to a small space can make the room appear larger, and this is a trick used time and time again by interior designers. You might want to hang a mirror in an ornate frame or a more modern, plain rectangular mirror in a beautiful timber frame. The key here is not the style of our Perth mirrors and frames, but the size, because the larger the mirror, the larger the appearance of your room.
  3. Add more light: In a room that doesn’t have a lot of natural light, apart from adding skylights and using a light coloured palette in the room, the next best solution is to add a large mirror to your wall. A mirror on the wall means that any natural light that does come into the room will be bounced around by your mirrors, adding another dimension to the illusion of space.

If you are trying to increase the amount of light in a room and make the space appear larger, then the actual position of a mirror your home will make a difference as well. One trick is to hang a large mirror opposite a window to reflect the light and help to brighten up your room.

Yet another tip is to hang one of our long, full length one in your entry hallway, but place it behind your hallway dresser, helping to make a small, dark entryway look much brighter and bigger.
